The Evolution of the Citroën 2CV

From the Acadiane to the Dyane

Citroën's Iconic Vehicle Transforms Over the Years

The iconic Citroën 2CV, first launched in 1948, has undergone numerous transformations over the years. From the Acadiane to the Dyane, each variant has left its own unique mark on the automotive landscape.

The Acadiane, introduced in 1978, replaced the Citroën 2CV AZU and AKS. It featured a more spacious interior and a larger engine, making it ideal for commercial use.

The 2CV van, a precursor to the Acadiane, was constantly evolving from its debut in 1951. Its popularity paved the way for the Dyane, launched in 1967 as Citroën's answer to the Renault 4.

The Dyane, with its distinctive sloping roofline, quickly became a favorite among families seeking an affordable and reliable car. It was produced until 1983, leaving a lasting legacy in the automotive industry.
